Pre-populate Application Forms with Data Cloud Document AI

Pre-populate Application Forms with Data Cloud Document AI

Applicants upload a resume to an application form, and Agentforce for Public Sector automatically extracts the data to pre-populate the form fields.

          Note
Note Public Sector Solutions is now Agentforce Public Sector. You may see references to Public Sector Solutions in Salesforce applications and documentation.

With Unstructured Document Processing, applicants can upload a resume when they apply for a position through your agency's portal. Agentforce for Public Sector automatically extracts structured data from the resume and pre-populates the application form fields. This reduces manual data entry and helps applicants complete their applications faster.

Data Cloud Document AI powers the extraction. It processes uploaded files and extracts fields such as name, contact information, work experience, and education. Extracted data maps to the application form fields automatically.

Unstructured Document Processing supports resume parsing for Talent Recruitment Management (TRM) for both external applicants applying through a constituent portal and internal employees applying through the employee portal.

          How It Works

When an applicant uploads a resume:

          1. The resume upload component sends the file for processing.
          2. Data Cloud Document AI processes the file and extracts structured fields based on your Document Schema Configuration.
          3. The extracted data is stored in the Extracted Data field on the Document Checklist Item (DCI) record.
          4. The extracted data maps to the OmniScript application form fields.
          5. The applicant reviews the pre-populated form, makes any corrections, and submits the application.
