Define and configure product records in the base data model of Consumer Goods Cloud.
Defining basic product attributes is necessary for retail execution, sales planning, and
analytical insights across the platform. You can either create one product at a time in the
application or import high-volume product information using Data Loader.
Required Editions
Available in Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited and
Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
Review the following considerations for products:
To view and create products, you need the Read and Create permissions on Products.
Products need a standard active price before you can add them to a price book.
From the App Launcher, find and select Products.
Click New.
Give the product name, code, and description.
Ensure to enter a either name, description, or a product code to enable your field
reps to search a product by scanning its barcode.
Select Active.
Save your changes.
Upload Images for Products Add product images that appear on inventory checks and orders in Retail Execution within the Salesforce mobile app by using the Lightning-avatar component.
