Retain at Least One Active Salesforce CPQ License

Retain at Least One Active Salesforce CPQ License

Retain at least one active CPQ license throughout the entire migration period in both production and any sandbox where Revenue Management is being configured or tested. Retaining the CPQ license ensures that the team can reference, validate against, or roll back to CPQ data when needed.

          Important
Important If all active CPQ licenses are removed from a Salesforce org where migration is in progress, you lose access to all the Salesforce CPQ features, including historical CPQ data, configuration, and reports.

This requirement of retaining the CPQ license applies to these orgs.

          • Production org: Retain a CPQ license for as long as CPQ data, such as quotes, subscriptions, and assets, is actively referenced by the business.
          • Sandboxes used for migration or user acceptance testing: A CPQ-installed sandbox is required to test coexistence scenarios. A sandbox without a CPQ license can't be used for coexistence validation.
          • Orgs used for integration testing: Any org where integration testing references CPQ objects requires an active CPQ package.
