          Reverse Cardinality

          Reverse Cardinality

Reverse Cardinality enables product designers to specify the number of Source Product instances that can rely on a Target product instance within a Relies On relationship. In reverse cardinality, users can define how many source product instances rely on a target product instance.

Minimum Cardinality Validation: Cardinality validation ensures that each source product has at least a specified number of target products linked to it. If this requirement isn’t met, the system shows an error message.

          Reverse Cardinality Placeholders:

          • Reverse Max Quantity: Specifies the maximum number of Target Products that can be linked to each Source Product.
          • Reverse Min Quantity: Specifies the minimum number of Target Products that must be linked to each Source Product.

Cart Validation: When a product is added to your cart, the system checks that the number of target products linked to each source product adheres to the reverse cardinality rules.

Default Context: The system automatically checks reverse cardinality whenever products are added to your cart.

Reverse Cardinality is crucial for maintaining appropriate relationships between products. It ensures that each Source Product is correctly associated with the right number of Target Products, helping to prevent errors and providing a smooth shopping experience.
