            Omnistudio Requirement for Salesforce Document Generation

            Managed packages like Omnistudio offer standard capabilities, including a template designer, server-side and client-side generation, and support with Omniscripts and Integration Procedures.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

            If you’re generating documents without using Data Mappers, Omnistudio isn’t required (neither the Omnistudio (standard) nor the Omnistudio for managed package). However, if your templates include tokens that must be replaced with actual data, Data Mappers are necessary. In that case, you need either Omnistudio (standard) or the Omnistudio for managed package, both of which support Data Mappers. The specific version of Omnistudio is determined by the assigned permission set license (PSL).
