Create stage definitions for similar business processes applicable to different record
types by cloning stage definitions. Clone a stage definition and map the stages from the existing
definition to the new one.

User Permissions Needed
To configure stage management:
Stage Management Design User
In Setup, find and select Stage Management.
Select the stage definition that you want to clone, and click
Clone.
You can also clone a stage definition in the Stage Management builder.
Enter the details such as name and developer name, and then select the record type.
Reference Object and Reference Object Field can’t be modified and are prepopulated with the
values from the existing stage definition.
Click Next.
In the New Record Stage column, select the stages that you want to
map for the new definition.
Important Deleting a stage mapping removes the stage from
the cloned stage definition.
Save your changes.
