Add the Record Stage Overview Lightning Component to your record page or Experience
Cloud Site to make it available to your external users. The component gives your users a
comprehensive view of the business process stages and the tasks to be performed. Control who can
view steps in the Record Stage Overview component by using permission sets and standard sharing
rules.

Record Stage Overview Standard Access
Gain granular control over user visibility within the Record Stage Overview
component, so users see only the steps and tasks relevant to their role. View steps that are
automatically sorted by the most recent stage transition. Maintain a clear audit trail of
every stage transition that shows details about the previous stage and the date of
change.
From the object management settings for the reference object, go to Lightning Record
Pages.
Select the record page. For example, Application Form.
Click Edit.
On the Components tab, locate the Record Stage Overview component and drag it onto the
record page canvas.
Save your changes, and then activate the page, if necessary.
The Record Stage Overview component shows an overview of the stages and the steps to
be performed at each stage of the business process.
Your users can expand and collapse steps for a more focused view. Get at-a-glance
status overviews with color-coding to indicate the status of each step.
