          Fund Types

          Fund Types

A fund can either be allocated for a customer or for a customer-product combination.

          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods Cloud is enabled

Based on whether a fund is allocated to a customer or a customer-product combination, set up three basic fund types.

          • Customer Funds: To fund promotions for specific accounts, KAMs use either account development funds or market development funds. Customer funds always have one customer anchor and no product anchor.
          • Customer Category Funds: To fund activities related to a customer and a specific product category, such as beverages or snacks. You can’t add a brand to a category fund.
          • Customer Brand Funds: To fund activities that are related to a customer and a specific brand.

Within these basic fund types, you can create multiple fund types. For example, you can associate a customer fund (account development fund or market development fund) with the customer and a product-level (category or brand).
