            Calculate Parent and Child Promotions

            The system calculates the KPIs of child promotions based on the KPI configuration of the child promotion KPI set. After all the child promotions are calculated, the system calculates the parent promotion by aggregating the KPI values of child promotions.

            For the KPI definitions included in the KPI set of the parent promotion that aggregates data from child promotions, ensure that the aggregation mode is selected as Custom. Use the Aggregation Category field of the promotion and Read Code field of the KPI definition to aggregate the KPI values of child promotions for the parent promotion. For each parent promotion, the system looks for promotions that match the aggregation category to identify the child promotions. After the system identifies the child promotions, it aggregates the KPI values for the parent promotion based on all Read Code fields. For example, the system aggregates the values of all KPI definitions with Read Code SHIP that are available for child promotions for the parent promotion. 

            • Assign a Child Promotion Template to a Promotion Template
              The Child Promotion Templates related list shows the list of promotion templates that are assigned to a promotion template. Use child templates to derive promotions out of any promotion that's created using the parent promotion template. You can also use child templates to push promotions from higher levels of the trade org hierarchy to lower planning levels.
