            Main Objects in Funds

            Funds are budgets allocated for promotional activities. Expand your account, market, or brand by using the objects of Funds to manage and transfer promotional budgets.

            Objects under Funds

            This table lists the main objects in Funds.

            Object API Name Description
            Account Account Stores information about your customers. An account can be a retailer, distributor, wholesaler, or consumer.
            Claims cgcloud__Payment__c

            Specifies the remuneration due to customers for running promotion tactics. The possible claim types are:

            • Deduction
            • Credit Memo
            • Check Request
            • Invoice-Based

            The claim type is set using the claim template that’s used to create claims.
            Fund cgcloud__Fund__c

            Stores the amount allocated for promotional activities. A fund can be created for: 

            • A customer
            • A customer-category combination
            • A customer-brand combination

            By using these fund types, finance managers can create a variety of funds, each serving a distinct purpose in running promotions. A finance manager can also create funds with various customer- and product-anchor combinations.
            Fund Templates cgcloud__Fund_Template__c Template to create varied types of funds. The template dictates the properties of a fund, such as currency, customer, or product anchor. A Fund Template links the funds to a tactic or promotion via the tactic template.
            KPI cgcloud__KPI_Definition__c Indicators to assess the performance of an account. KPI can be one monetary, volume, or percentage measure shown in account plan, advanced promotion, or claim. For example, actual volume, base volume, or target revenue. 
            KPI Sets cgcloud__KPI_Set__c

            A list of individual KPIs.

            A KPI set is mapped to a business process by using business templates. For example, the list of KPIs shown in an account plan is based on the KPI set selected in the customer template. Similarly, for payments or funds, the KPI set is mapped to the payment template or fund template, respectively.

            KPIs at a parent level are read-only and are the aggregations of all child KPIs.
            Multi-Fund Transactions cgcloud__Fund_Transaction_Header__c

            Transactions to create a fixed budget for promotions:

            • Initial: Transaction to create funds. The transactions don’t need a source fund but can have one or more target funds.
            • Adjustment: Transaction to revoke funds from one or more source funds. These transactions don’t need target funds. For example, adjustment transactions from a customer-product fund.
            • Transfer: Transaction to transfer funds from a source to one or more target funds. For example, transfer of funds from NTO-Headquarters (HQ) to NTO-Atlanta and NTO-Detroit.
            • Drawback: Transaction to transfer funds from one or more source funds to a target fund. For example, transfer of funds from NTO-Atlanta and NTO-Detroit to NTO-Headquarters (HQ).

            The type of transaction is determined based on the fund template selected during the creation of the transaction.
            Sales Org cgcloud__Sales_Organization__c

            Business segments to structure your data and business processes by your organizational unit. For example, one sales org for the EMEA region and another sales org for the APAC region.

            Base business segmentation on geographical territories, product division, or account team.

            Each business template is related to a sales org. Records created using the templates are available only for the related sales org.
            Tactics cgcloud__Tactic__c Stores information on promotional tasks carried out by retailers to increase sales. Tactics incur cost to manufacturers. For example, advertisement tactic or display tactic.
            Transaction Rows cgcloud__Fund_Transaction_Row__c

            Indicates the flow of money.

            For each transaction, the system creates a debit transaction row and a credit transaction row.
            Transactions cgcloud__Fund_Transaction__c Transactions carried out for each fund. Transactions can be to initialize, adjust, or transfer funds for promotions.
