Determination of Prior Year Values with Week Offset

Determination of Prior Year Values with Week Offset

Understand how prior year values are determined when a week offset is applied to the Read KPI.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods Cloud is enabled

To determine the daily or weekly data for a promotion or account plan, the system checks the conditions for the past weeks and maps the condition values to the current period. If a Read KPI is configured to read daily data in the Data Source Monthly Table with a week offset, the system calculates the data by using the formula: (week - (week offset × 7 days)).

          • Daily Data: If the week offset is set to 52 and the selected date range for the promotion is 30.12.2019 to 05.01.2020, the system fetches the data directly with a 52-week offset.
          • Weekly Data: If the week offset is set to 52 and the selected date range for the promotion is 30.12.2019 to 26.01.2020, the system fetches the data directly with a 52-week offset. The resultant weekly values are calculated as the summation of individual daily data values.
            Note
Note If the selected time range doesn’t start at the first day of the week, the system applies week day share profile to calculate the weekly values.
