          Analyze Your Data with Reporting and Analytics

          Use the multiple reporting options available in TPM to analyze data that’s stored in processing services and in Salesforce.

          Here are the available reporting and analytics options:

          • TPM Profit and Loss Statements (P&L) to view promotion and individual account performance.
          • Lightning Reports and Dashboards for simple, out-of-the-box reports.
          • Real-time Reporting for flexible account and promotion reporting.
          • Trade Promotion Effectiveness (TPE) to create custom analytical reports, for example, Trend Analysis and Process Event Analytics dashboards.

          TPM P&L

          Here’s the list of profit and loss statements available.

          • Account Plan P&L: To review account plans and promotion KPIs in real-time. An account plan P&L can have data for up to 18 months. You can configure multiple account P&Ls—one for each customer type. You can create a separate account plan P&Ls for manufacturers and retailers. In an account plan, you can group different KPIs, aggregate weekly and monthly data, and view data at product hierarchy levels. See Create an Account Plan View.
          • Customer Business Plan (CBP): To manage sales forecasts with configurable and editable building blocks. Similar to account plan P&Ls, you can group KPIs, aggregate weekly and monthly data, and view data at product hierarchy levels. However, unlike account plans, in CBPs, you can adjust the baseline volume. To use CBPs, you must configure Business Years. In a CBP, you can see data for only one Business, whereas in an account plan you can see data for up to 18 months. See Create a Customer Business Plan.
          • Promotion P&L: To analyze promotions—the planned and actual values. You can configure promotion P&Ls to view manufacturer and retailer KPIs, real-time calculations for the KPIs, total and weekly data, and the sell-in and sell-out time frames.
          • Promotion Scenario Planning: To review and compare multiple promotion scenarios. You can create up to five scenarios with 15 KPIs. The KPIs in a promotion scenario are calculated in real-time. See Create a Scenario.
          • Promotion-Account Plan Integration: To review the real-time impact of a promotion on your account plan. Integrate an account plan report on the promotion page with configurable KPIs and see how the promotion impacts the account plan without saving the promotion. See Embed Reports on Promotion Record Page.
          • Rate-based Fund P&L: To view the KPIs related to a rate-based fund. You can configure the P&L to show the actual and planned KPI values at multiple product levels.
          • Claims P&L: To view the KPIs related to a claim-tactic. You can configure the P&L to see the actual and planned values for the products added to the claim-tactic.

          Lightning Reports and Dashboards

          Create reports by using the data that are stored in Salesforce. For example, Checkbook dashboard, Claims dashboard, and Funds reports. The reports typically use KPI mapped values. See Reports and Dashboards and KPI Maps.

          Real-Time Reports

          Create reports by using the data stored in CG Processing services. You can use out-of-the-box real-time reports or configure new ones depending on your requirements. When you configure a real-time report, add filter criteria, group KPIs, create different layouts, or create user-specific views. See Configure a Real-Time Report.

          TPE

          Use data-driven dashboards to analyze trade promotion data, evaluate the effectiveness of a promotion, and plan future promotions. See Trade Promotion Effectiveness.

          • Real-Time Reporting
            Create account and promotion-related real-time reports based on your requirements using Real-Time Reporting (RTR). RTR provides flexible configurations to design a fact-based report that uses the same KPIs and calculation rules as a promotion or account P&L. Use these reports to get a live view of critical business metrics and make better decisions during the account planning, promotion execution, and post-event analysis phases of Trade Promotion Management (TPM).
          • Trade Promotion Effectiveness
            Trade Promotion Effectiveness (TPE) is a CRM Analytics solution for Consumer Goods Trade Promotion Management (TPM). It provides data-driven dashboards to analyze trade promotion data, evaluate the effectiveness of a promotion, and make decisions for future promotions. By improving trade promotion tactics, you can increase sales and revenue, improve customer satisfaction, and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
