            Create a Business Year

            Business years define the annual time level in your sales organization. Creating and activating business years in your sales organization is essential for using features such as customer business plans (CBP) and real-time reporting (RTR) in Consumer Goods Cloud.

            Required Editions

            Note
            Note Before you activate business years in your sales organization, create business years for current, previous, and upcoming years. You can add or update future business years as necessary.

            User Permissions Needed
            To create a business year calendar: CGCloud Business Admin
            1. From the App Launcher, find and open Sales Organization.
            2. Select the sales organization.
            3. Create a single business year that spans from 360 to 380 days and can start on any day of the month.
              To ensure continuity, don’t create overlapping business years or gaps between them.
              1. From the Business Year related list, click New.
              2. Enter a description of the business year in the languages configured for the sales organization.
              3. Select the start date; the start year, and the end year are automatically populated.
              4. Click Confirm.
            4. Alternatively, you can create multiple business years for your sales organization.
              1. From the Business Year related list, click New in Bulk.
              2. Select the start year, and the end year is automatically populated. For creating subsequent business years, select the end year.
              3. Click Confirm.
            5. From the App Launcher, find and select SF Data Sync.
            6. Sync the business year object with the consumer goods cloud processing services.
            7. Click Activate Business Years.
              Business years not yet activated within a sales organization can be updated and deleted. However, once activated, you can’t update or delete current and past business years.
              If the business years are valid in the CG Cloud Processing Service, the system performs these actions:
              • Generates periods for each business year in the CG Cloud Processing Services.
              • Registers the activation in the CG Cloud Processing Services.
              • Sets the Has Activated Business Years field in the sales organization as True.
