Required Unified Catalog Editions and Permissions
| Available in: Lightning Experience |
| Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Unified Catalog. |
To access Unified Catalog features, your org requires the Unified Catalog Add-On license and the permission set that corresponds to the user's role. The Unified Catalog add-on license is automatically included with your purchased product. The table below outlines the specific permission sets required for each persona.
| PERSONA | Permission Set | USE |
|---|---|---|
| Admin |
|
Provides users access to administer the Unified Catalog app and to provide access to designers and service reps. |
| Designer |
|
Provides users access to use and manage catalog items and service processes. |
Customizing Permissions
If you customize Unified Catalog, such as adding fields, create a custom permission set. To remove user permissions from the default permission set, create a muting permission set. Then, use permission set groups to assign users the Unified Catalog permission set in addition to your custom permission sets. This approach ensures users always have the latest default permissions and is an alternative to cloning permission sets.
Features Available by Request
The ability to modify submitted service requests isn’t available to all customers. To request access to this capability, contact your Salesforce account executive. See Service Process Builder Components.
