Add Provider Details to the Authorization Request

Enter information about the requesting provider, servicing provider, and the servicing facility where the service will occur. You can automatically see if the provider is inside or outside the payer network.

          Required Editions

          Note
Note You aren’t required to add provider details for a concurrent review that's linked to an existing request.

          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud

          User Permissions Needed
To add provider details: Health Cloud Utilization Management, OmniStudio User, and RuleEngine Runtime permission sets
          1. From App Launcher, go to the Utilization Management for Payers app, and do the following:
            1. Select an authorization request type.
            2. Run an eligibility check for your care request.
            3. Add care request details to the authorization request.
          2. Under Requesting Provider, add the provider’s name. The NPI (National Provider Identifier), Taxonomy Code, and Certification Type are auto-populated.
          3. By default The servicing provider is the same as the requesting provider is selected. If the requesting provider doesn’t provide the service requested, deselect the checkbox and add the provider’s name under Servicing Provider.
          4. For Servicing Facility, enter the name of the healthcare facility where the patient receives the requested care. The Location and Location Type are automatically displayed.
          5. Click Next to upload supporting documents for the care request.
