Upgrading the Attribute Schema
After reviewing the Attribute Schema Upgrade ConsiderationsJSONAttribute v2 Schema Upgrade Considerations, choose one of the two upgrade options. The first option is recommended for orgs with smaller data sets that are able to have downtime while performing the upgrade. The second option is recommended for orgs that cannot have downtime while performing the upgrade.
The migration is one-way only; the action is not reversible. Vlocity does not provide utilities to migrate back to the old schema model.
Custom Implementations using the JSONAttributeSupport class must use the new v2 methods outlined in JSONAttributeSupport. .
The Asset Attribute component on the Asset page is not supported by the v2 attribute model. If the use of this component is required, your org cannot be upgraded to the v2 attribute model. The Card Assets component will support the functionality for orgs using the v2 attribute model.
- Option One: Upgrading Schema with Downtime
This procedure is recommended for orgs that can have downtime during the upgrade. - Option Two: Upgrading Schema Without Downtime
This procedure is recommended for orgs that cannot allow downtime during the upgrade.
