          Insert Tokens for Clauses in Microsoft Word Files

          Insert Tokens for Clauses in Microsoft Word Files

          After you have defined short names for clauses, the next task is to insert the tokens in the Microsoft Word files.

          1. In the Vlocity Document Clauses tab, open the document clause for which you want to use a token.
          2. Click View Clause Token.
            The Short Name window, which displays the clause token and has a Copy to Clipboard button.
          3. Click Copy to Clipboard.
          4. Open the Microsoft Word file that you will upload as a template file.
          5. Insert the token by pasting it into the document.

            {{CL:<clause token>}}

            Example: {{CL:PMT_TERM_60}}

          6. In CLM, upload your Microsoft Word file to Template Settings.
          7. Click Next.

            CLM creates a new file that replaced the tokens with content. You can download the file, edit the format if necessary, and reattach the file in the Attach File section.
