Migrate Vlocity Contract Life Cycle Management From One Org to Another

You might test Vlocity CLM in a sandbox org, but then implement it on a production org. You can migrate Vlocity CLM from one org to another.

1. In the source sandbox, follow these steps:
   1. Upload all Apex classes, fields, and other custom items to the new org using changeset or another process.
   2. Export the latest active Omniscript using the Omniscript Designer. For more information, see Exporting Omniscripts.
   3. Export the Vlocity Actions for contracts. For more information, see Exporting Vlocity Actions for Contracts.
   4. Export the Vlocity Cards. For more information, see Exporting Vlocity Layouts and Cards.
   5. Export the Vlocity Templates. For more information, see Exporting Vlocity Templates.
   6. Create a DataPack. For more information, see Creating a DataPack.
2. In the post-deployment org, follow these steps:
   1. Deactivate any contract Rules. For more information, see Deactivate a Rule.
   2. Import the DataPack and activate its components. For more information, see Importing a DataPack.
   3. Check and add custom settings. Ensure that the settings listed in Vlocity CLM Custom Settings.
   4. Re-create any contract-related Calculation procedures. For more information, see Calculation Procedures Overview.

• Exporting Vlocity Actions for Contracts
  To export an Action, ycheck out an Action and edit the layout, add a custom Import/Export button, and export the action in a DataPack.
• Exporting Vlocity Layouts and Cards
  When migrating to a new org, you must export any applicable Vlocity Cards framework components, particularly those that you modified. The Vlocity Cards Framework supports versioning for all components (layouts, cards and templates). Only active versions are exported.
• Exporting Vlocity Templates
  When migrating to a new org, you must export any Vlocity Templates you are using, especially if you modified them.
• Creating a DataPack
  To create a DataPack:
• Deactivate a Rule
  You can deactivate rules. You want to deactivate rules when migrating Vlocity CLM to another org, for example.
• Importing a DataPack
  Before importing a DataPack, go to Vlocity Cards and Vlocity Omniscript Designer to deactivate any layouts that could be affected by the import. You may also need to deactivate any Vlocity Templates that could be affected by the import.
