Modify String Translations in Vlocity Product Console

Product administrators who are responsible for product catalog administration and life cycle or contract generation configure the base language and can modify the translated strings in the Vlocity Product Console.

          Before You Begin

          • Activate the needed locales (languages).

          • Enable multi-language support in Vlocity CMT Administration.

          • Configure objects and their fields for multi-language support.

          • Run the Create Translation job to extract product data (base language) for translation.

For details on these tasks, see Configuring Multi-Language Support for Shared Catalog.

          To modify translated strings:

          1. Go to the Vlocity Product Console.
The Vlocity Product Console with String Translations highlighted.
          2. Click String Translations.
            The String Translations page.

            From this page, you can:

            1. Search for master text and translated text
            2. Click the filter icons to filter by master text, translated text, and locale.
            3. Click the column headings to sort by master text, translated text, and locale.
            4. Click the Edit icon for any row to edit the associated translation text.

Ensure that the Locale field matches the Values field from the Global Value set for Vlocity Locale Code.

          3. If editing a string, type the translation into the Translated Text field, and click Save.
