Journal Type and Journal Subtype Usage
- Journal type—Used to identify activities that belong to advocates and their referred parties.
- Journal subtype—Used to uniquely identify the type of activity completed by advocates and their referred parties.
Default Journal Type and Journal Subtype
B2B Referral Management comes with one journal type: Referral. There’s also a set of journal subtypes associated with the Referral journal type by default.
- Advocate Enrollment—Used to identity an activity where an advocate has joined a
promotion.
You can't reward advocates for joining a promotion.
- Referral Lead Creation—Used to identify an activity where an advocate refers a business and a lead record is created.
- Referral Qualification—Used to identify an activity where the referred lead qualifies.
- Advocate Reward—Used to identify the activity where the referral promotion rewards the advocate.
- Referred Party Reward—Used to identify the activity where the referral promotion rewards the referred party.
Eligible Activities of Your Promotion
Apart from the Advocate Enrollment journal subtype, you can use any of the other journal subtypes to identify the activities for which you want to reward advocates and their referred parties.
The journal subtypes that are provided by default don't always relate to the activities that you want to qualify for rewards. You can create journal subtypes and name them based on the activities you want to qualify for rewards. The journal subtypes that you create must be associated with the Referral journal type.
