Rule Configuration with Pricing Promotion Templates

For each rule that you create, specify:

• Priority Number—If multiple rules in a promotion are eligible for a customer’s cart, the priority number helps to decide the order to display the eligible rules to the customer.
• Rule Name—If multiple rules in a promotion are eligible for a customer’s cart, the rule name helps the customer uniquely identify each rule.

Each pricing promotion template consists of two sections:

• What Customers Do—Select the items that must be in the cart for customers to be eligible for the promotion rule.
• What Customers Get—Select how to reward the customers that are eligible for the promotion rule.

Note When configuring promotions, use whole numbers for percentage-based discounts. Decimal values are supported only for amount-based discounts.

• Buy X, Get Discount + Rewards
  Use the Buy X, Get Discount + Rewards promotion template to offer customers a discount on their cart and other rewards when they purchase specific products.
• Spend X, Get Discount + Rewards
  Use the Spend X, Get Discount + Rewards promotion template to offer customers a discount on their cart and other rewards when their shopping cart is worth a specific value.
• Buy X, Get Discount on Y + Rewards
  Use the Buy X, Get Discount on Y + Rewards promotion template to offer customers a discount on cart lines that include specific products or products from specific categories. You can offer other rewards to customers when they purchase specific products or products from specific categories. You can offer the discount on the price of each line item or the combined price of the line. You can also use the Buy X, Get Discount on Y + Rewards template to offer customers a product for free.
• Spend X, Get Discount on Y + Rewards
  Use the Spend X, Get Discount + Rewards promotion template to offer customers a discount and other rewards on cart lines when their shopping cart is worth a specific value. You can configure specific rewards for individual products or categories within the cart rather than the cart as a whole. You can also use this template to offer customers a product for free when the spend threshold is met.
• Buy X, Get Unit Price Discount on Y + Rewards
  Use the Buy X, Get Unit Price Discount on Y + Rewards promotion template to offer customers a discount on the unit price of a specific product or products from a specific category.
• Spend X, Get Unit Price Discount on Y + Rewards
  Use the Spend X, Get Unit Price Discount on Y + Rewards promotion template to offer customers a discount on the unit price of a specific product or products from a specific category when their shopping cart is worth a specific value.
• Buy X, Get Discounted Combo + Rewards
  Use the Buy X, Get Discounted Combo + Rewards promotion template to offer customers a discounted combo of specific products or products from specific categories. You can also offer other rewards to customers when they purchase specific products or products from specific categories. This template is available only when Promotion Evaluation and Execution is turned off.
• Spend X, Get Discounted Combo + Rewards
  Use the Spend X, Get Discounted Combo + Rewards promotion template to offer customers a discounted combo of specific products or products from specific categories. You can also offer customers other rewards when their shopping cart is worth a specific value.
• Build Your Own Promotion
  Use the Build Your Own Promotion template to design rules with nuanced eligibility criteria. Add multiple eligibility criteria, with each criterion consisting of a set of conditions. Decide the logic for each criterion and further tailor your promotion by adding product attribute–based criteria and an aggregate condition.
