The Promotion Evaluation and Execution API evaluates cart details and returns the
adjusted price of cart and line items after applying eligible promotions based on the selected
promotion evaluation method.

Show customers adjusted prices by applying promotional discounts with a evaluation method that
fits your business needs.
For evaluation, a parent group is created for each rule library. Promotions within this group
are organized into three categories based on their application: line-level, cross-line, or
cart-level. The Promotion Evaluation API takes the cart details and available coupons, and then
sequentially applies all relevant discounts based on the configured evaluation method to
determine the final adjusted price. When evaluating an item for promotions, the API scans 5
levels of the product’s category hierarchy before applying the right promotion based on the
selected evaluation method.
The API response provides a complete breakdown of the discounted cart, including the final
adjusted total price, the adjusted price for each line item, and a list of any non-pricing
rewards available. If a cart contains a product that doesn't exist in the Salesforce catalog,
the API ignores the unsynced products while evaluating line-level and cross line level
promotions and applies the eligible promotions for the cart.
