Access Global Promotions Management Data in Marketing Cloud Engagement

The marketing journeys that send the promotion launch emails for activated promotions require data from Global Promotions Management objects. Use Synchronized Data Sources in Marketing Cloud Engagement to access the data that is stored in Global Promotions Management objects. Create Synchronized Data Sources for the Global Promotions Management objects whose data the marketing journeys use.

Create Synchronized Data Sources for these Global Promotions Management objects:

  • User
  • Account
  • Contact
  • Campaign—Required only if marketing managers use campaigns to decide the promotions’ eligible audience.
  • Campaign Member—Required only if marketing managers use campaigns decide the promotions’ eligible audience.
  • Catalog
  • Product
  • Category
  • Email Template
  • Engagement Channel Type
  • Internal Organization Unit
  • Segment—Required only if marketing managers use Data Cloud segments to decide the promotions’ eligible audience.
  • Voucher Definition
  • Promotion
  • Promotion Channel
  • Promotion Limit
  • Promotion Market Segment—Required only if marketing managers use Data Cloud segments to decide the promotions’ eligible audience.
  • Promotion Product
  • Promotion Product Category
  • Promotion Stage
  • Promotion Stage Email Template
  • Retail Store
  • Retail Store Group

Ensure that you include all the fields of the Global Promotions Management objects in the Synchronized Data Sources.

  1. Create syncronized data sources in Contact Builder for the Global Promotions Management objects.
  2. After the data source is synchronized, review the synchronized data extension that’s automatically created for each data source.
    1. From the Contact Builder, click Data Extensions.
    2. Click Syncronized Data Extensions.
    3. To review the details of the data that’s stored in the data extension, open the data extension.
