Provide Marketing Cloud Connect API User Access to Global Promotions Management
The Marketing Cloud Connect API user connects the Global Promotions Management org and
the Marketing Cloud Engagement instance. To ensure that Global Promotions Management data is sent
to the connected Engagement instance, provide the Marketing Cloud Engagement Connect API user
access to Global Promotions Management and its objects.

User Permissions Needed
To assign permission sets:

View Setup and Configuration
To create a permission set:
Manage Profiles and Permission Sets
Provide the Marketing Cloud Engagement Connect API user access to Global Promotions
Management:
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select
Users.
Open the user record of the Marketing Cloud Engagement Connect API user.
Click Permission Set Assignments | Edit Assignments.
Move the Global Promotions Management permission set to the Enabled Permission Sets
list.
Save your changes.
Create a custom permission set and provide the permission View access on these
objects:
Account
Campaign
Campaign Member
Catalog
Category
Contact
Email Template
Engagement Channel Type
Game Definition
Internal Organization Unit
Product
Promotion
Promotion Channel
Promotion Limit
Promotion Market Segment—Only available in Data Cloud enabled orgs
