Create a Package to Connect Marketing Cloud Engagement Business Unit to Global Promotions Management

Global Promotions Management and Marketing Cloud Engagement are two different instances. To connect an Engagement business unit with Global Promotions Management, create a package in the business unit that you want to connect. The package consists of the scope of the connection and the API integration details required to connect Global Promotions Management with the business unit.

To create a package in Engagement: Marketing Cloud Administrator role

To connect Global Promotions Management with multiple business units, create a package in each business unit that you want to connect. If the business units that you connect to roll up to a parent business unit, create a package in the parent business unit. When you connect a parent business unit with Global Promotions Management, the parent unit’s child business units are automatically connected with Global Promotions Management.

  1. Log in to your Engagement org.
  2. Ensure that you are in the business unit that you want to connect.
  3. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Installed Packages, and then select Installed Packages.
  4. Click New.
  5. Enter the name and description of your package.
  6. Save your changes.
  7. Click Add Components.
  8. Select API Integration and click Next.
  9. Select Server-to-Server and click Next.
  10. In Scope, select these options:
    Email Read, Write, Send
    Documents and Images Read, Write
    Saved Content Read, Write
    Automations Read, Write, Execute
    Journeys Read, Write, Execute, Activate/Stop/Pause/Resume/Send/Schedule, Delete
    Audiences Read, Write
    List and Subscribers Read, Write
    Market Audience Create, View, Update, Delete
    Market Audience Member Create, View, Update, Delete
    Marketing Cloud Connect Read, Write, Send
    Data Extensions Read, Write
    File Locations Read, Write
    Tracking Event Read, Write
  11. Save your changes.

From the API Integration section, copy the Client Id, the Client Secret, and the Authentication Base URI of the package. You must enter the package details when you connect the business unit with Global Promotions Management in the Global Promotions Management org.
