Add a Custom Field to the Product Data Model Object

Add an Image URL field to the Product2 DMO to include pictures alongside recommended promotions.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Real-Time Offer Management. Additionally, you need Data Cloud and Personalization.
  1. In Data Cloud, go to the Data Streams tab.
  2. Search for and select the Product2 data stream.
  3. Click Review.
    The field-mapping canvas shows your source Data Lake Objects (DLOs) on the left and target DMOs on the right.
  4. Under the Product DMO, click the arrow next to the unmapped fields.
  5. Click Add New Field.
  6. Provide these details:
    FIELD LABEL FIELD API NAME DATA TYPE
    Image URL ImageUrl Text
  7. Save your changes.
  8. To establish the mapping connection, select Display Url in the DLOs and Image Url in the DMOs.
  9. Save your changes.
