You are here:
Publish an Audience to Salesforce Data Extension Folder
Publish an audience of your subscribers to the Salesforce data extension folder so that you can use a user-initiated Salesforce send. Marketing Cloud Engagement receives only subscriber tracking data that’s returned from Salesforce. Subscribers without a Salesforce ID can’t send data back to Salesforce.
- On the Audiences page, click an audience, or click Create New Audience.
- On the Filter tab, select Salesforce in the channel dropdown menu.
- Filter and segment your audience, and then click the Publish tab.
-
Publish your audience.
If you publish an audience with no audience criteria or segments, you publish the total amount of your subscribers. After you publish your audience, the system locks the channel of this audience. The audience always publishes to the Salesforce Data Extensions Audiences folder or shared Salesforce Data Extension folder.
- Initiate the Salesforce Send. The Salesforce Send attempts to use the audience in the Salesforce Send folder.
