Segment Tab

Segment an audience in Audience Builder to suppress certain subscribers from either your total population or a filtered population.

For example, Northern Trail Outfitters wants to send a limited number of promotional SKUs for their subscribers who enjoy hiking. They don't want to over-send their next campaign. They use the Segment tab to suppress all hikers sent to yesterday or to suppress subscribers who show more interests than hiking.

This feature requires you to define and prioritize segments of your population. Audience Builder prioritizes the segments based on the order they appear. For example, Audience Builder applies the first segment to an audience. Any subsequent filters to the audience generated by the first segment apply by order of appearance.
