          Use Transactional Reconciliation in Automation Studio

          Automation Studio supports Transactional Reconciliation for email activities that send time-sensitive messages, such as confirmations, alerts, and notifications. When enabled, Marketing Cloud Engagement monitors messages and assigns a final disposition (Sent or Not Sent) based on delivery signals during the expiration window.

          Automations that use Transactional Reconciliation must reference a data extension created from the Sendable_Reconcilable_Data_Extension template. This template includes the reconciliation fields needed for message tracking.

          Note You can use Transactional Reconciliation only for transactional sends, and not for commercial or promotional email classifications.
          1. In Automation Studio, open or create an automation.
          2. Add a Send Email or edit an existing one.
          3. Click Choose.
          4. Click Create New Send Email Activity.
          5. Select the email message to send and click Next.
          6. Specify the activity properties.
          7. Under From Options, make sure that Saved Send Classification is Transactional and click Next.
          8. Click Data Extensions and drag the reconciliation sendable data extension to the Targeted list and click Next.
          9. Under Configure Delivery, you can now see the Transactional Reconciliation section.
          10. Select the Reconcilable checkbox.
          11. Specify the Reconciliation Expiration Time in hours and click Next.
          12. Review the settings under Activity Summary and click Finish.
          13. Save and activate the automation.
