Contacts Configuration

ContactID Mapping

Marketing Cloud Engagement uses ContactID internally to identify contact records. Unless you plan to link this value only to data extracted directly from Engagement, leave this setting disabled.

Ensure that your linked data includes the ContactID field generated by Engagement.

Contacts Events

This feature captures contact behavioral information for segmentation and is scheduled for retirement. Use filter or query activities in Automation Studio instead. This feature’s retirement doesn’t affect Journey Builder events.

Data Source Loading

Enable this feature to load Contact Builder data when using the app instead of loading all data when you open the app.

Contact Delete

Enable this feature to permit users to delete contact information from this account. The deletion process removes contact information from Contact Builder and other associated apps within your account.
