Create Attribute Groups with Templates
Follow these steps to create attribute groups with templates in Contact Builder.
Use templates to create attribute groups designed to accomplish certain tasks:
- Demographics
- Retail Transaction
- Shopping Cart
- Travel Booking
The template creates predefined data extensions. import definitions, and data relationships designed to connect the contact record with imported data. Once the data import process completes, use the information stored in the data extensions to better target and personalize your communications to that contact.
- Click the Data Designer tab.

Expand the menu on the page by clicking

- Drag the template to create from the menu to the Data Designer workspace.
- Review the data extensions by the template. Once Contact Builder creates these elements, you cannot undo this process in a single procedure.
- Enter a unique name for the attribute group in the Attribute Group Template field.
- Enter a unique name for every data extension created by the template.
- Click Create Attribute Group.
- After the creation process completes, click View & Edit to review the information and relationships for the new attribute group.
After you create the data extensions, you can add or import information into the data extensions.
