Interact with Synchronized Data Sources
Before you add a data source to Contact Builder, configure the original data source and allow changes to synchronize to Marketing Cloud Engagement. You can’t import data to a synchronized data source from Contact Builder.
- From Marketing Cloud Engagement, open Contact Builder.
- Click Data Sources.
- Click Synchronized.
- Choose the appropriate data source from Synchronized Data Sources.

Each synchronized entity in Contact Builder includes a status bar for the synchronization process. - Pause and Resume Synchronization
Pause the synchronization process in Contact Builder to prevent further updates to the data synchronized from the external data source. Resume the synchronization process to refresh the data with the latest version from the external data source. Any pause or refresh performed in a multi-org environment affects all business units integrated using the same active Salesforce System user. - Interact with Available Fields
