Add a Button Block
Use Content Builder to add a linked button to your email.
Before and after you build your content, see Create Content Blocks.
- Complete the Button Text field, and set your font type, size, and color.
- Use the provided controls to style the button and button text.
-
Select a Link To option and complete the corresponding fields.
- Website: Enter the URL of the web site, without the preceding https:// (which inserts automatically).
- Secure Website: Enter the URL of the secure website without the preceding https:// (which inserts automatically)
- Email Address: Enter the full email address (the HTML code mailto: inserts automatically) and subject line of the email.
- Microsite: Select the site and page of the previously created microsite.
- Forward to a Friend: The system populates the code when you choose this value. You can still edit the tooltip and link alias.
- Document: Browse to content stored in your account or upload new content. As a best practice, always use document links rather than attach a document directly to an email. Document links offer the added benefit of allowing you to track how many subscribers open the document.
- Anchor to text: Select the name of the anchor you previously created in this email.
- Other: Enter a value that does not match the other types, such as a personalization string. For example, if you have an attribute that contains a URL, you can insert the personalization string to use the personalized URL for each subscriber.
- Enter descriptive text in the Title field. This text appears when the recipient hovers over the text or image.
- Enter a descriptive name in the Tracking Alias filed. When you view the tracking results, the tracking alias appears in the results. If a tacking alias is not provided what you entered in the link URL is used.
- Use the Block Settings and HTML Editor tabs as needed.
- Click Done Editing.
