Content Builder Approvals Considerations
Before you use Approvals with Content Builder in Marketing Cloud Engagement, review these considerations.
- Before you enable Approvals for a business unit, create at least one team.
- When you turn on Approvals, current Email Studio or Content Builder emails are approved.
- To edit an approved email, withdraw the email from Approvals. If you withdraw an approved email with pending or scheduled jobs, the email is still used in its originally approved version, even if you edit it.
- To withdraw a shared email, unshare the email first, and then withdraw it from Approvals. Unsharing the email deletes all copies from other business units.
- To make sure that an active journey picks up changes to an approved edited email, start editing the email from Journey Builder. If you edit the email outside of the journey activity, refresh the activity to verify whether the journey includes the edits.
