Delivery Profiles
A delivery profile in Marketing Cloud Engagement Setup specifies the delivery information for a message in a central location. Engagement reuses the information across multiple sends without requiring selection of the information each time.
When you create a send classification, select a delivery profile. If you include the send classification in a message interaction, you can override the delivery profile on the send classification.
When you create a delivery profile, specify the IP addresses to use for sending. Available values for the IP Address field depend on your account's IP address assignments.
- Shared IP: A sending IP address is automatically selected from the shared IP address pool and can't be modified. Different addresses can be used for different sends.
- Single dedicated IP: The sending IP address is the IP address assigned to an account and can't be modified. This address is used for all sends.
- Multiple dedicated IPs: When Account Default is selected, the sending IP address is chosen from your account's default pool for the specified send classification type. For a list of IP addresses in your account's default pool, log a ticket with Salesforce Customer Support. To send with a single dedicated IP address, select Private, and select an address from the dropdown.
Choose the header and footer to use on the delivery profile.
- Header refers to the text at the beginning of the document that, by default, provides a link to the email as a web page. This header doesn’t include the header graphic that you specify in a template.
- Footer refers to the text at the end of a document that contains your physical mailing address and unsubscribe link.
On the delivery profile, you can choose None, Account Default, or Library content for the header and footer. If you choose None or Library Content for the footer, include the required elements in the email body or the library content in the footer. These elements include the unsubscribe link and physical mailing address.
