          Create WhatsApp List Messages

          Create WhatsApp List Messages

Give your customers a list of options during a conversation by using WhatsApp list messages in Marketing Cloud Engagement journeys. For example, if a customer sends you a message asking to reorder a product that they've previously purchased, your response can include a list of their most recent purchases.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
To create messages: Marketing Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Channel Manager, or Marketing Cloud Content Editor/Publisher
To manage journeys: Marketing Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Channel Manager, or Marketing Cloud Content Editor/Publisher
          Note
Note List messages are supported only in accounts with Unified Messaging. For more information, contact your Account Executive.
          1. In Content Builder, select Create | Chat Messaging | WhatsApp Session Message.
          2. For Message Type, select List.
          3. Configure the header, body, and footer for the session message.
          4. Under List Button, for Button Text, enter the text that appears on the button that customers click to view the list.
          5. Under Sections, specify an optional section title and description.
The title and description appear above the list entries for the section.
          6. For Button Label, enter the text that appears on the button that customers click to begin the flow.
          7. Configure the items that you want to appear in the list. For each list item, configure these components.
            1. For Row Title, enter the title of the list item.
            2. If you want to include additional text below the title of the list item, enter the text in the Row Description field.
            3. For Pass Back Value, enter a unique value.
The value that you specify in this field isn't visible to customers. When your customer selects an item from a list, the pass back value is sent to Event Notification Service (ENS). You can use this value in decision points in the current journey or to trigger other journeys.
          8. To add another section, click Add Section, and then configure the list items for that section.
Sections are helpful for organizing list items. You can create up to 10 sections. The total number of list items across all sections can't be greater than 100.
          9. Save your changes.

After you create a session message, add it to a journey.

Events generated by list messages are returned to Journey Builder as events. You can also retrieve details about these events in data extracts, Event Notification Service events, or Data 360 extracts.
