            Automate Data Retrieval in Marketing Intelligence

            Configure automated data retrieval for TotalConnect data pipelines to regularly import data from Amazon S3 or email sources into Marketing Intelligence.

            Required Editions

            Before you begin:

            • To automate data retrieval using Amazon S3, ensure you have an existing S3 connection configured.
            • To automate data retrieval using Email, an administrator must enable Automate Data Retrieval with Email on the Advanced Settings tab in Setup.
            Available in: Developer, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions
            User Permissions Needed
            To automate data retrieval in Marketing Intelligence: Marketing Intelligence Admin
            1. From Marketing Intelligence, go to the Data Management tab.
            2. Under Data Pipelines, click the dropdown arrow and select Automate Retrieval.
            3. Select a source and then click Next.
            4. Configure your selected source.

              If you selected Amazon S3:

              1. Select a connection.
              2. Select the file type.
              3. (Optional) To import files from a specific folder in your S3 bucket, enter the folder path under Import from Directory.
              4. Click Deploy.

              If you selected Email:

              1. To restrict who can send data, define authorized senders and domains. Leave blank to accept data from any source.
              2. Click Deploy.
                After deployment, a unique email address is generated for receiving data files.
              3. To view the email address, in the pipeline list click the dropdown arrow and select View Email Address, or open the pipeline record page and view the Email field.
