Required Roles and Permissions for Marketing Intelligence

Before you set up Marketing Intelligence in Marketing Cloud Next, confirm that you have the necessary licenses, roles, and permissions to access the data and features. Marketing Intelligence uses permission set groups, which bundle the permissions for a specific role into one assignment. A Salesforce admin can assign a user one of three permission set groups based on their role: MI Admin, MI Data Specialist, or MI Marketing Manager.

Marketing Intelligence is available in Lightning Experience for these standard Salesforce editions:

• Developer
• Enterprise
• Performance
• Unlimited

To access Marketing Intelligence, make sure you have:

• Salesforce account
• Data 360 license with the Semantic Layer enabled
• Tableau Next license
• Marketing Intelligence permission set
