          Setting Up a Custom Connector

          Setting Up a Custom Connector

Use Marketing Intelligence's prebuilt API connectors to connect to paid media and analytics platforms and automatically generate the data pipelines you need.

          Before You Start

Review connector-specific documentation for API limits, field compatibility, and historical data availability.

          1. From the app launcher, find and select Marketing Intelligence.
          2. On the Data Pipeline tab, click New Pipeline.
          3. On the Custom tab, select a connector and then click Next.
          4. Select a connection and click Next.
If you don't have a connection create a new connection.
            1. Click New Connection.
            2. Enter a connection name.
            3. Select a named credential.
            4. If your named credential isn't authenticated, click Authenticate and complete the authentication process.
            5. To add a new named credential, click + New Named Credential, and complete the connection process with the provider.
            6. Enter the remaining required fields. Required fields vary by provider.
          5. Select a data space.
          6. Select the data object and fields.
Only one data object can be selected per connection. To customize data fields and refine segmentation, select the Extended Attributes tab.
          7. To schedule when the pipeline runs, select the Run Schedule tab and set the start date.
          8. Set the span days and the sliding window.
            • Span Days — The maximum number of days a single processing statistic can cover. For example, a 30-day retrieval with a 10-day span creates 3 statistics.
            • Sliding Window — The number of days to retrieve for a scheduled run, ending with yesterday's data.
          9. Click Next and map the fields.
          10. Customize your mapping.

Add a new data object by clicking + New Object. Enter a name and description, and then click Add. The object is created with three default fields: ID, Currency, and Name. Map the fields as needed.

To add additional fields to the data object, click the + icon next to the object. Enter a field name and description, select a data type and then click Add. The field is added to the object and is available for mapping.

The source and target data types must match to complete the mapping.

          11. To validate the mappings, click Validate and address any errors.
          12. Click Save and Deploy, review the mappings and then click Deploy.

After setup, the stream ingests data into Data Cloud. Data Cloud maps the data to the Marketing Intelligence Semantic Data Model and makes it available for analysis, dashboards, and AI-powered insights.
