Create an Outbound Media Message in MobileConnect

Create and send an MMS message to your subscribers in Marketing Cloud Engagement. The Outbound Media template is available only in the United States and Canada.

1. On the MobileConnect Overview screen, click Create Message.
2. Select the Outbound Media template.
3. Enter a name for the message.
4. Select the short or long code to use.
5. Select the send method.
   • To send immediately or at a specified time, use Schedule.
   • To send via the MobileConnect REST API, use API Trigger.
6. Move to the next page, and then select the audience or create a list.
7. Exclude audiences, as necessary.
8. Select the media. Upload a file, if necessary.
9. Move to the next page.
10. Enter the message text.

    If you insert personalization strings or AMPscript, the character count isn’t available.

11. Enter the rest of the information.
12. Move to the next page and review the message information.
13. Set the delivery date and time.
14. Schedule or send the message.
