How Opens Are Counted

In MobilePush, Android and iOS open rates are counted differently based on the limitations of the two operating systems.

Note To record open events, configure the iOS and Android MobilePush SDK with Analytics enabled.

Interactions counted as opens for iOS:

• User swipes the notification on the lock screen, which opens the app
• User taps the banner notification on an unlocked phone
• User taps the notification in the notification center

Interaction counted as an open for Android

• User taps the notification in the notification drawer
