How Opens Are Counted
In MobilePush, Android and iOS open rates are counted differently based on the limitations of the two operating systems.
Interactions counted as opens for iOS:
- User swipes the notification on the lock screen, which opens the app
- User taps the banner notification on an unlocked phone
- User taps the notification in the notification center
Interaction counted as an open for Android
- User taps the notification in the notification drawer
