When viewing archived Data 360 files, keep these considerations in mind:
- You can perform the archive operation from the metadata directory only. Performing this operation from the payload directory isn't supported.
- After a control file is archived, the system can no longer locate the corresponding file in the payload directory. The file in the payload directory is removed by the retention policy. See Archive and Restore Files for information on how to archive files.
To view Data 360 files:
- From the main navigation, select Feeds | Data Cloud Files.
-
Click the folder that you want to view. Files are in alphabetical, not chronological,
order.
All folders are located under the top-level Salesforce-Genie-Activation/ directory in Data 360.
Folder Description Metadata Used as the control directory. The job system uses this folder to access and read file metadata, and locate the corresponding payload file for processing. The existence of files in the metadata folder directs the job system to the payload folder to pick up files for processing. Payload Contains the data payload files delivered by Data 360 activations. JSON files in the metadata directory point to their corresponding payload files in this directory. Processing Contains files that are in the middle of importing, which can take a variable amount of time based on the size of the file. Processed Contains files that have completed the import process. Failed Contains files that failed to load as the result of a system error, such as missing headers, an incorrect file type, or a canceled running job. Archived Contains archived files. Restoring archived Data 360 files isn't supported. To re-initiate a Data 360 activation ETL, resend the activation from Data 360 using the same configuration.
