You can control whether Account Engagement includes an open tracking
pixel in your HTML email sends. Email opens are tracked in all business units by default, but an
admin can change the setting in each business unit as needed. Other settings are provided for
click tracking and Advanced Email Analytics data tracking.
Required Editions
User Permissions Needed
To turn email tracking settings on or off:
Account Engagement Administrator role
Open the settings for your business unit.
In Account Engagement, click and then select Settings.
In the Lightning app, select Account Engagement Settings.
Click Edit.
Select and deselect the tracking options as needed.
To turn off email open tracking, deselect Track all email
opens.
To turn off implied email open tracking, deselect Track implied email
opens.
To turn off other email information tracking in a business unit that includes the
Advanced Email Analytics add-on, deselect Track Advanced Email
Analytics.
To stop tracking link clicks through an Account Engagement tracker
domain, deselect Track email clicks.
When prompted, confirm your selection, and then save your changes.
Note Any custom redirects you have set up continue to work even if you turn off link click
tracking.
