            Manage Incoming and Existing Engagement Data

            After you update your data configuration, update your incoming Marketing Cloud Engagement data to the unified data model. Then, update the model for your existing Engagement data.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Marketing Cloud Engagement Pro+, Corporate+, and Enterprise+ editions
            User Permissions Needed
            To update the data model for incoming or existing Engagement data: A Salesforce account with the Marketing Admin permission set.
            1. Log in to Salesforce.
            2. In Salesforce Setup, go to Marketing Cloud | Marketing Features | Marketing Cloud Engagement | Unify Data.
            3. Manage your incoming data.
              This action applies to new data from Marketing Cloud Engagement.
              1. In the Manage Incoming Data section, click Select Data Model.
              2. In the confirmation window, select Unified.
              3. Click Select to confirm.
            4. Manage your existing data.
              This action updates your existing data to use the same data model you selected for your legacy data.
              1. In the Manage Existing Data section, click Update Data Model.
              2. Confirm that you want to update the data model.
