Order Lifecycle API Automation Events

Use Order API events to start an automation event-triggered flow when an order lifecycle event occurs in an external commerce system. Order lifecycle API events provide an API-first approach to marketing automation, allowing merchant systems to trigger flows instantly when order-related events occur. This enables marketers to respond in real time with automated customer communications for order-based activities. Marketers can also use order data from the API payload to personalize the customer experience

Required Editions

Available in: Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Marketing Cloud Next Growth or Advanced Edition

These order-related events are available in the Event Library:

  • Order Status via API: Triggered when an order status changes, such as when an order is placed, processed, or updated.
  • Order Shipment Status via API: Triggered when an order is shipped or delivered.
  • Order Return via API: Triggered when a customer returns an order.
