Configure Custom Engagement Values for Marketing Triggers
Retail marketing triggers detect shopper actions, such as viewing a product or adding
an item to a cart, from engagement values in your data model. If your data uses values other
than the defaults, configure custom engagement values so that your triggers build audiences
from your own data instead of hard-coded defaults.
Before you configure the engagement values, map all the required Data Model Objects
(DMOs) for your marketing triggers. The engagement values that you configure are used
when the system builds the data transforms for each trigger.
Custom engagement values apply to these retail marketing triggers:

From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Marketing
Features, and then select Triggers.
On the Marketing Triggers page, click Advanced
Settings.
In the Configure DMO Engagement Field Values section, review the DMOs, their
related triggers, and the engagement fields to configure.
Each row shows the DMO, the triggers that use it, the engagement field, and a
description of the shopper action that the field represents. These engagement
fields have default values that you can replace to match your data.

In the Value column, enter the value that matches your
data for each engagement field.
Enter a value that contains up to 255 characters, with no space at the start
or end.
Save and confirm your changes.
Note If the business unit associated with your marketing triggers is inactive, you can't
save engagement values. To update the values, go to Marketing Triggers and reopen
Advanced Settings for an active business unit and data space.
