User Permissions Needed
To set up replenishment triggers: Marketing Triggers Admin permission set

Before you begin, map customer data from your app with the required Data Model Objects (DMOs). For the data model object mappings used by this trigger, see DMO Mappings for Replenishment Trigger.

The Replenishment trigger drives repeat purchases by reminding customers to reorder before they run out. Salesforce evaluates your customers every day and automatically launches a personalized, multichannel journey when a customer qualifies, so you capture repeat revenue without building audience segments or writing custom code.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Marketing Features, and then select Triggers.
  2. In the Replenishment trigger, click Manage Configuration.
  3. From the trigger configuration page, turn on the trigger.
  4. In the Map Data to Data Model Objects (DMOs) section, verify that all required DMOs are mapped with your customer data.
A check mark next to the DMO indicates that it's mapped correctly.
  5. In Product Categories, add each product category and its replenishment cycle for this trigger.
    1. Enter a Category Name.
    2. Enter a Replenishment Cycle and select a Unit of Days or Weeks.
    3. Click Add.
The category appears as a pill in the format {Category Name} – {number of days or weeks}. To change a category, select it, update the values, and click Save.
  6. In Configure the First Message, set Days Before Replenishment to the number of days before the end of the replenishment cycle to send the first message.
  7. Set the Send Time for the message.
Send time uses your org's default time zone.
  8. In Manage Frequency, review how often the trigger runs.
    This trigger runs every day.
  9. In the Select Channels section, select one or more channels to send trigger messages, such as Email, SMS or RCS, or WhatsApp.
Make sure that the relevant channels are set up in the org.
Example
Example

The trigger runs daily and reminds customers to reorder before a category's replenishment cycle ends. For example, if you add the category Protein Powder with a 30-day replenishment cycle and set Days Before Replenishment to 2, a customer who bought a Protein Powder product is reminded on the 28th day after the purchase. Each category can have its own replenishment cycle, and by default the trigger runs for every category you add.

After setup, marketers can use the Replenishment automation event in flows. This event includes individual, product, and contact context in the flow resource. Available fields are: Engagement date, Individual ID, First Name, Last Name, Product, Email Address, SMS and RCS Number, and WhatsApp Number.

To build a flow quickly, use the Replenishment flow template. See Create a Flow for Your Triggers from a Template.
