Configure a visitor conversion trigger to reach customers who visit your website a
minimum number of times in a set period, but don't purchase or view a product page in that
time. Salesforce evaluates your customers every day and automatically launches a
personalized, multichannel journey when a shopper qualifies, so what once took days of
segment building and journey wiring now takes minutes with no custom
development.
Before you begin, map customer data from your app with the required Data Model
Objects (DMOs). For the data model object mappings used by this trigger, see DMO Mappings for Visitor Conversion Trigger.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Marketing
Features, and then select Triggers.
In the Visitor Conversion trigger, click Manage
Configuration.
From the trigger configuration page, turn on the trigger.
In the Map Data to Data Model Objects (DMOs) section, verify that all required
DMOs are mapped with your customer data.
A check mark next to the DMO indicates that it's mapped correctly.
In Set Conditions, set the Inactivity Period, which is
the time to wait after a customer's last interaction before this trigger
activates.
Specify an inactivity period between 1 and 90 days.
In Inactivity Criteria, select the criteria that qualify a shopper as inactive
for this trigger, such as No purchase or No
product page visit.
The No purchase filter is automatically applied. Select additional criteria to
further refine inactivity.
Set Minimum Website Visits to the minimum number of
visits required to qualify a shopper for this trigger.
Enter 1 or more visits.
In Configure the First Message, set the Send Time for the
message.
Send time uses your org's default time zone. To add more messages, create a
flow with this trigger.
In the Select Channels section, select one or more channels to send trigger
messages, such as Email, SMS or RCS, or WhatsApp.
Make sure that the relevant channels are set up in the org and the Contact
Point DMOs are mapped.
After setup, marketers can use the Visitor Conversion
automation event in flows. This event includes individual and contact context in
the flow resource. Available fields are: Engagement date, Individual ID, First Name,
Last Name, Email Address, SMS and RCS Number, and WhatsApp Number.
