Monitoring, Reporting, and Optimization
Salesforce Marketing apps provide tools and features that help you monitor your deliverability and performance. Beyond best practices for tracking and optimizing your marketing efforts, you can learn more about specific features that are available in each marketing product.
The terms that are used to name or describe these options may vary, but reporting tools typically fall into these categories.
- On-record components: Metrics-based fields, related lists, and components that you can add to certain records. These optional components provide scores, statistics, interactions, and other discrete information about certain records. For example, an admin can add email interaction history to lead records or campaign attribution on related opportunity records.
- Reports: A table of filtered data that presents static information. All of our marketing products offer standard reports that customers can customize for their business needs. Typically, users can share or subscribe to reports for regular review with stakeholders.
- Dashboards: A more interactive and multifaceted version of reporting, which includes charts, graphs, and tables of data. These dashboards are typically supported by Salesforce Platform or CRM Analytics, and allow users to add, remove, move, and filter the widgets that appear on each dashboard. Some dashboards are embeddable on records.
